We are very pleased to have broken ground on DTA’s first multifamily building this past week at the corner of North Lombard and Delaware, adding a new northern gateway into the Arbor Lodge neighborhood.

We are honored to announce that Jade Alley in the Miami Design District has received a 2023 Small Project Award from AIA National.  This project is very special, as it builds on over a decade of alleyway research that Daniel began in Seattle, using a travel scholarship from the local chapter to research alleyway revitalization around the world from Japan to Australia.  He then received this commission during his first semester at Harvard GSD and designed and coordinated the project from his studio desk, it is now a vibrant part of the community.

Event Description:
During Art Basel/Design Miami 2021, join Miami Design District for a conversation with renowned architect Daniel Toole, while exploring the architectual wonders of the neighborhood. This Tour explores the Miami Design District’s architecture, including major contributions by Toole such as Jade Alley and Steel Alley. As we stroll through the neighborhood together, curator Thom Wheeler and architect Daniel Toole will consider the history within the neighborhood contributions to the world of architecture.
